2017-03-06 OW Cup Assen – Faster, Faster, Faster

A large number of our team members were present on June 3 to participate in the 3rd OW Cup race on Assen’s TT Circuit. The morning started with two qualifications.

In the afternoon the races took place and the tension rose, especially for our “rookies”, André Bleyenberg and Jan Houbraken. This would be the first real race for them, after getting their racelicence during our spring training in Cartagena.

Unfortunately, Jan stalled his engine at the start and also hampered André behind him. Together they cut through the field of 40 riders.

7-Mark van Bunnik
Greg was the first two laps in the lead, but could not manage any longer against the tuned engines of the first three. Luke and Mark rode a strong race and followed not far behind.

8 – Thorsten Burger
Thorsten could unfortunately not use his Ducati and rode his Kawasaki. He delivered a great achievement to finish 8th in this strong field.

All riders achieved personal success by improving their own PR on Assen!

Next weekend we already have our next races, round 4 and 5 of the OW Cup on the track of Oschersleben- 10th and 11th June 2017.
