2024-07-09 IDC TT-Circuit Assen – 3rd Race of 2024
On Friday we had planned a day with free training to be well prepared for the race on Saturday. Jan Houbraken (The Chaser#35) could not be present that day and only traveled to Assen on Saturday. On Friday his place was taken over by Wessel van Gerven (The Wizzard#22, junior team, son of). Friday was characterized by scorching weather of almost 30 degrees, so the team members were sweating a lot.
Jan Houbraken (The Chaser#35), Luc van Gerven (The Bomb#36), Mark van Bunnik (Fastmarky#77) and Greg Barnes (Gin-Tonic#67) started the 1st qualification for the Supersport 600 class on Saturday morning. This weekend they all started with a day license again, so they would not be included in the final results. The 1st qualification was delayed by 20 minutes due to fog and the track was still quite cold and wet after this, so the faster times would only be set in the 2nd qualification. That eventually happened and Greg Barnes took 16th place, Luc van Gerven P22, Mark van Bunnik P26 and Jan Houbraken P27.
